Leadership Schools

Liberty Education Forum Leadership Schools help transform today's young people into tomorrow's leaders. These three-day training sessions introduce college students to the political process by showing them the nuts and bolts of a political campaign. Participants gain practical experience and confidence by running a simulated election campaign. Political insiders with Capitol Hill experience help conduct each Leadership School. LEF Leadership Schools bring together fair-minded students from both political parties.

Here are some actual quotes from college students who attended a Leadership School:

"If you want to learn about how campaigns are run, then this is the place to be at."

"I think this conference will definitely create better leaders."

"It was a great program."

"We were able to learn a lot of real-life political skills."

The fight for equality must have a short-term and long-term component. While it's critical to educate our nation's current politicians, we also must educate this country's next generation of leaders about these issues.

A recent poll conducted for the Liberty Education Forum and other national surveys show that young people are much more supportive of gay and lesbian civil rights. We must take advantage of this generational opportunity to make sure our allies have the skills to get involved in the political process. Leadership Schools help accomplish this goal. Highlighting the importance of public service and civic participation for young people will help get them involved in the political process.

Investing in tomorrow's leaders will help make inclusion and tolerance permanent parts of American society.
